NAVIGON launch MobileNavigator bringing fully functional Sat Nav to the iPhone
If you can’t wait until the summer for TomTom to release their navigation app for the iPhone then there is an alternative in the form of NAVIGON’s MobileNavigator (as long as you live or travel around Europe).
At $94.99/£54.99 it’s not cheap and this is the special offer price valid until 30th June 2009 (there’s no word on what it will be after that).

With the NAVIGON MobileNavigator you can transform your iPhone into a fully functional mobile navigation system that is every bit as good as the multi-award-winning personal navigation devices from NAVIGON in terms of its user-friendliness and features.
Thanks to a faithful adaptation of the menu functions, the NAVIGON MobileNavigator fits in seamlessly with the operating concept of the iPhone. The application includes the latest map material from the market leader NAVTEQ and can be used without an Internet connection, which is of enormous benefit abroad, for example, as no extra charges are incurred.

- Precise voice announcements
- Intelligent address entry
- Reality View Pro (realistic display of motorway interchanges and exits)

Bit pricey, not sure of total UK coverage. Might just wait for TomTom.
Fantastic, full uk coverage. Having used tomtom for two years, i found navigon far superior.
Just brilliant.
Great post, expect the TomTom to be lot pricer, however they have announced a very nice cradle to go with it, not sure how much it will be it possible the best holder for iPhone sat-nav.

I wish this was ready with US maps. T least they have the price structure right. There is no way I would pay a monthly fee when I can just buy a standalone unit and be done with it.
