Doug Kennedy, the founder of Publisher X, said in an interview that the console manufacturers are just saying up front that they are now worried about the iPhone. But he also said that behind the curtains, he knows for a fact that these handheld gadget makers are paying close attention. Doug Kennedy believes that there is a rising concern about the

developers and publishers that are working on the iPhone.

The launching of the Publisher X was supposed to be scheduled after fall. But Doug Kennedy moved the schedule of his company so that their debut will be on time for Apple Inc.’s latest App Store.
Nintendo as well as Sony said in a recent interview with MTV that they are indeed watching the iPhone. But both companies denied that they see the latest device from Apple Inc. as a threat.
Doug Kennedy also added that the iPhone is like Wii – a product that is not just a fad that will soon end and be forgotten.
