Obama campaign uses the power of the iPhone
Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign has released an application specifically for iPhone users to help supporters of the candidate connect with others and get involved, stay up to date on breaking issues and more. It would effectively change the face of politics, if it succeeds.

The free application, Obama 08 is available for download through the App Store.
It provides you with info about the campaign via text messages and e-mail, offers coverage of national campaign news, and get maps and directions. You can also use the application to browse videos and photos from the Obama campaign as it progresses.
The internet and technology has been a tool of politics for a number of years, and blogs have played a role for awhile as well, but now with the advent of the App Store and the iPhone, more developers have turned to the device as a way of energizing the voter base. A landmark application indeed.
