While others are paying $199 for an 8 GB iPhone, Virgin Mobile is selling the 8 GB model of the second-generation iPhone for $0 upfront! Customers must sign up for a monthly plan worth $70. The plan includesvoice calls worth $520 and 1 GB worth of data. If you have an extra $30 that you can add to

the data plan every month, you can get the 16 GB model of the second-generation iPhone with data worth 4 GB. Just the same, you don’t have to pay anything upfront. The contract with the Virgin Mobile will last for only 24 months. However, the company said that they have no plans of selling the 3G iPhone outright.

According to Peter Bithos, the CEO of Virgin Mobile Australia, they want the customers to get more data from their plans. That is why they set a plan with 1 GB data yet allows the customers to have another option at a fair price, which is the $100 plan with 4 GB data.
