One developer states that iPhone can rival Nintendo DS and PSP for game supremacy
When a fairly large company forms especially to publish games for Apple’s iPhone, it’s worth noting. But when that company is headed up by two long-time veterans of EA who see the iPhone as the future of mobile game development, it really grabs a byline.
Such was the case over the summer when Neil Young and Alan Yu formed Ngmoco, which hasn’t made many waves since then. Ngmoco—an acronym for “Next Generation Mobile Company”—announced its first three offerings for the iPhone, and made the statements above.

Topple (picutred above) and MazeFinger are now available in the App Store.
“I think that the focus of our business is to build the very best games we can for this platform,” said Young, Ngmoco’s CEO. “We’re game makers and we’ve spent our lives making games. The iPhone gives us a canvas to produce games we’ve never seen before.”
Only the future can tell if they’re right, but it wouldn’t be a shock if the iPhone did assume the game crown at some point.

That developer is clearly delusional. I have bought quite a few games for the iPhone, but they;re of novelty value only. The thing is, you do actually need real buttons that you don’t need to look at for any kind of prolonged/serious mobile gaming…!
