Over 120,000 3G iPhone units sold by T-Mobile

According to a weekly magazine in Germany, T-Mobile has already sold more than 120,000 units of the second-generation iPhone since the device was launched last July 11. This was the detail given by the chief executive of wireless business of Deutsche Telekom.

Hamid Akhavan said to Focus that the delivery issues that made customers waiting for the iPhone have already been resolved. He also told Focus that by the end of August, the backlog will be cleared.

In an interview, Hamid Akhavan mentioned that the sales of the 3G iPhone surpassed their expectations. Akhavan even boasted that T-Mobile already sold as much as 75,000 3G iPhone units in Germany alone even if the second-generation iPhone has faced several issues.

The new version of the iPhone from Apple Inc. has been innovated to give a faster internet connection compared to the first-generation iPhone which Apple launched a year ago.

However, 3G iPhone users all over the globe have been giving complaints about the dropped calls as well as inconsistent speed of the internet. It was only last week that Apple Inc. released a software update so that the connection problems will be fixed (or so it seems). This has just led even more online complaints from their customers.
