Paid version of AIM released for iPhone
An update for AIM was released last week for the free version, which brings several new features to the instant messaging application.

AOL has now released a paid version that is available with a price tag of $2.99. Other than the removal of ads and a purple icon (versus a red icon for the free version), the paid version offers the same features present in the free version.
Some people really don’t like the ads, and for those people, this version may be just the ticket. It’s nice to give users choices in this sort of thing, especially for only $2.99.
