Prototype of iPhone “killer” from Dell released – and it’s a killer, all right
Chinese site Sina has snapped a ton of clear photos of the Dell Mini 3i, their China-only Android-based smartphone.

It looks like a genetic experiment between the Palm Pre and the iPhone, twisted in an rather unholy (and bulky) fashion into a Frankenstein amalgamation of smartphones. Dell was already told this wasn’t a good idea, and they apparently aren’t listening.
Looking at the new photos, the Dell Mini 3i has a 3.0-megapixel camera, GPS with included software, and a…well…ugly interface. The graphics look almost anime-like, and the unit itself appears a little on the bulky side. Hopefully, they’ll put it back in the oven to finish it up, or this could be a failure of mammoth proportions.
We’re looking forward to seeing it, either way, we have to admit.

Looks fugly!
Well, I like it. Icons are for the Chinese, and probably can be changed. Dell has a pretty good reputation, so their product will be very competitive. Also, I have a Dell account, and anything to break the choke hold by AT&T, I’ll vote for! Price will be the killer for this phone.
If it has a replaceable battery, it be miles ahead of iPhone.
