The Belkin’s Headphone Adaptor which is the first product being received for using third party headphones with the iPhone recessed headphone jack is being reviewed. There’s another such adaptor which has been received and that is RadTech’s $7 ProCable – Audio Extension Cable 3.5mm Make – Female. Like Belkin’s clarification, RadTech’s adapter plugs into the iPhone’s recessed jack and there upon provides a standard headphone minijack for connecting your favorite headphones. It is said that this adaptor works well with a range of third-party headphones. However, whereas the Belkin adapter is short (two inches), thick, and rigid, RadTech’s is 6.5 inches distant overall with a thin, flexible cable in the middle. Although it doesn’t feel as strapping as Belkin’s
On the other hand, one negative aspect of the RadTech adapter’s more-flexible design is that the weight of its headphone-jack “pod” wrenches on the end of your headphone cable a little bit. Although you can be impressed with the build quality of the Belkin adapter, you may think the lower price and flexible design of the RadTech ProCable makes it more appealing for everyday use. Perhaps everyone is waiting for the new adaptors form Griffin and Shure as soon as they will be introduced.
