Scramble Live lets iPhone and Facebook users compete against each other

Zynga has released a new Boogle-like game called Scramble Live, and the tech itself could cause huge ripples in the iPhone marketplace with its unique technology.

Scramble Live

There’s a Facebook module running with over a million users, and this one will let you compete real-time against iPhone and Facebook people. It’ll allow you to hook up and play against the built-in friend network on Facebook you already have, which is pretty awesome to say the least.

But…and this may be a big ‘but’ for some users: The live game, according to the website, is only playable over 3G or Wifi, so first-gen users cannot play the Live version – an odd omission indeed. But you can play solo via hotseat mode where you pass the phone around to each player on their turn.

The game is being sold at a discount until March 9th – $2.99 in the App Store. It’ll normally be $4.99 (still a bargain). If you’re already hooked on the Facebook version, give this one a whirl.

Not sure how this causes a ripple when Zynga’s “Live Poker” has been doing the same thing for a while now (and over a 2G network connection as well).

I don’t see a way to incorporate this with Facebook? Where is that link in the game?
