SwapTunes Syncs Your iPhone with More Than One Computer

SwapTunes is that nifty program that allows you to sync your iPhone with more than one computer.

“This simple app lets you sync your iPhone music/videos with more than one computer by keeping two iTunes libraries on the iPhone and allowing you to quickly swap amidst them whenever you like.

The reason I wrote that is considering I have different videos and music on both my home PC and my work PC. Unfortunately, iTunes does not allow you to sync music/videos to more than one computer. So, until there is software like Floola, Poddox or Sharepod for the iPhone, I created that simple solution.”

Every date you run that program, it will switch to your other library, allowing you to have two different libraries on your iPhone! It will even keep bookmarks of audio books and/or videos and allow you to continue listening and/or watching where you left off.

I love that program. It is great having a little bit of data from one computer and a little from another on my one iPhone. Try that out by the weekend– you’ll love it!

    loveyou little application but after i jailbroke my iphone 3.0 3G, it doesn’t seem to be working anymore. any updates ?

    I have notice the same problem, tried modifying the “swapTunes.sh” file within the application but was too unsure on the new directories Apple seem to have added.

    The “SwapCameraRoll” still seems to work ok though.

    I have also seen this problem. However, I think the .sh script is running fine; that is the folders/files are copied etc. The data is there but iPod is not accessing it correctly. Perhaps it is using a cach or local file?

    Update – Just found this @ hackint0sh “Hi there! I just found out why swaptunes was not updated yet, just cuz its works just fine. There isnt any problems with it. You just need to install the “bigboss recommended” in the cydia a sync with the second Itunes again…thats it…. and i`ve been waiting since the FW 3.0 launch for the swaptunes to be updated but just now i realize that there`s no need to… I hope it could help you out….”

    I have a 2G on 3.0 and it worked first time after “restart” without need to sync either library again,… sweet

    Hi,
    i just installed swap tune on my iphone 3g 3.0, i did syn and swaptune after reading all instruction but now i cant fine ny original musics and videos on my iphone, ipode is showing blank wht to do???
    please help

    swaptunes on 3.1.2 works now after removing ICY and installing BOSS RECOMMENDED TOOLS from cydia.
