Few days from now, the chief of Apple Inc. is expected by many to launch the much-awaited second generation iPhone. However, it is not only the iPhone that will be the focus of the demo but the software applications as well that were created by various companies specialy for the gadget’s new platform. These platforms were created for both iPhone and iPod Touch.

Here are some of the companies or developers who were involved in creating the platforms for the said gadgets. This includes the AOL from Time Warner, Sega, ERTS or Electronic Arts, CRM, THQ1, Pelago, Readdle, WebIS, and more. Developers who also created applications for the jailbroken iPhones are expected to come on the said event.
But why are these platforms important? The iPhone is a gadget
However, it is still considered as a gamble for most companies to use so many resources just for the sake of the iPhone applications. Moreover, other developers would rather not deal with Apple because of their terms including their 30% share for each application that it sells. For reasons like this, probably, developers would skip making an iPhone platform or they would just wait and see until Apple had a change of heart.
