Recent reports from Apple Inc.’s partner in United States, AT&T, said that they had an increase in their revenue as well as net income. The data collected was for the Q2 of 2008 alone. This is because of the spurring interests of the consumers on the latest product from Apple Inc. – the second generation iPhone.

AT&T previously reported that their net income for the second quarter of the year 2008 has already reached as much as $3.8 billion dollars. This is about 31 percent higher compared to their net income during 2007’s second quarter which is only $2.9 billion dollars.

On the other hand, the revenue made by the




company in this year’s second quarter has already reached $30.9 billion dollars. When compared to last year’s second quarter, AT&T’s current revenue is 4.7 percent higher than its last year’s figures.

The company has an exclusive agreement with Apple Inc. to distribute the second-generation iPhone in United States. The officials of the company admitted that their current deal with Apple Inc. became one of the biggest factors on their growth today.

According to the CEO and chairman of AT&T, Randal Stephenson, their company is about enhancing as well as deploying premier networks to the consumers and to the corporate world. The second generation iPhone is one example of their so-called mobile network transformation.
