There are many apps and services that can make your trip easier and simpler so you can focus on enjoying the trip rather than making sure everything goes perfectly. Everyone by now is accustomed to using the iPhone for browsing the web while waiting for a plane or listening to music while traveling by bus or train, or whatever.

But did you know you can do things like check into your flight, listen to the radio in your birthtown from many miles away, and (at some airports that are supported) even get through security checkpoints all using your iPhone? It’s become a device of strong utility, not just a cool tech toy.

TUAW, the Apple blog with loads of info about the iPhone, has written a great article about the things you can do in your travels to make things easier and more efficient.
