Beyond the hype the iPhone is still a phone. It allows for conference calling, putting people on hold and syncing your phone numbers with those in your computer. It has a memory feature which first pulls up only the numbers you’ve created while in your phone’s address book rather than all those brought over from your computer. With a tap of the finger on a black arrow you can browse within your entire database of numbers.

If you conference call you will love this phone. Adding a call a call is only a few taps away rather than a complicated process. If you tap the screen when using the phone six choices will appear

and Add is on the bottom. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dropped a call while trying to figure out the feature on other phones.

The phone does lack any kind of voice dialing and perhaps is Apple’s contribution to safer driving since the machine is almost impossible to use when behind the wheel. Don’t even bother, just park it by the side of the road.

The visual voicemail is absolutely a revolution. Rather than having to listen to message after message to get to the one you’ve been waiting for , you are presented with a list and can pick which ones to listen to and the order as well.
