Apple released the official list of the top paid/free apps at the App Store on Tuesday.

The list is broken up into several categories including Top Paid Apps, Top Free Apps, Top Games, Entertainment, Utilities, Social Networking, and Music. There are paid and free sections for each category, since the draw for each is rather different.
Overall, the top paid application sold at the App Store is Koi Pond,
followed by Texas Hold’em and Moto Chaser. The top free apps are Pandora Radio, Facebook, and Tap Tap Revenge. Koi Pond is a bit of a surprise, the others not particular surprises really. Games dominated the overall landscape of downloads, which considering their abundance, shouldn’t shock anyone.
You can see if your favorite app is on the list by visiting the App Store, and you can see the list here: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewCustomPage?name=pageiTunes2008_Apps
