It is celebration time for Apple iPhone users. AT&T, Apple’s official service provider in the United States has announced unlimited plan for calls within the country beginning February 22, 2008. Considered as a quick strategy to overshadow a similar move by Verizon, AT&T’s announcement comes at a time when there is increased pressure over AT&T losing revenue over millions of iPhones gone missing and unlocked by other carriers.

AT&T, the most popular carrier in the United States with over 70 million subscribers is Apple’s exclusive carrier partner for iPhone. The $99 unlimited plan from AT&T agreement allows iPhone subscribers to call anywhere within the United States without the long distance or roaming charges that normally come with service, regardless of the length of the call. Therefore, people can really speak to their heart’s content with friends and family without actually worrying about the impending billing cost.
Visual Voicemail, the first of a kind unique collaboration between Apple and AT&T requires the user to sign up for a 2-year service agreement now has one more feather in its cap.
The unlimited $139.99 per month plan now launched by AT&T for iPhone users has the option of unlimited Internet, unlimited text messages and unlimited voice. Moreover, the best thing is that, it does not require a iPhone user to extend his/her contract with AT&T to take advantage of the plan.
This new unlimited plan is definitely a bonus for all those iPhone users who like to hang up on the phone, besides it is definitely going to boost the sales graph of AT&T as well as Apple iPhones indirectly. Though this plan is not available for Apple iPhone’s international customers now, it is for sure that other Apple’s other carriers like O2 and Orange and T-Mobile will definitely come up with similar plans in the near future.
