Since Apple have shown that they can quietly unlock functionality under our very noses (how many were perturbed to see a “Send to Web Gallery” button seem when working with photos?) there must be some hoping and praying that the next covert unveiling is something every other smartphone user takes for granted: copy & paste.

An iPhone fan by the username of lonelysandwich (I always find a piece of cheese and crescent of crisps keeps my sandwiches




from getting lonely on the plate) has put together that video of how copy & paste might work on the handset, using the magnifying loupe and MultiTouch’s ability to recognise a second-finger tap.

Of course, there’s no telling how Apple will manage the process themselves when they eventually add the feature, but that is a nicely constructed video and a fair solution.
