macOSXhints.com has discovered an easy way to keep track of exchange rates on your iPhone.

They point out that Yahoo, which provides the information for the Stocks application, has special ticker symbols you can enter to track currency exchanges as well. So, for example, if

you spend a lot of time in the UK, you can add ticker symbol GBPUSD=X, and you’ll have the exchange rate between pounds and dollars at your fingertips.
