Vudu, video on demand set top box maker, releases app for iPhone
Fans of Vudu can now download a free app for their iPhone or iPod Touch that allows you to browse their catalog and download titles directly to your box at home. It’s a bold move in a series of bold moves lately where they have slashed prices quite a bit, and released more and more movies in HD.

Remote access to their catalog is nice, but I don’t see anything about a wish list or rating system in here —so let’s hope that feature becomes part of a future update. Other than that, the feature set is strong, and it sets a sold standard for access to one of the strongest movie libraries out there right now accessible through this medium.
Vudu recently announced all of their boxes would sell for only $99, slicing $100 off their previous retail price, in a bold move designed to cement its place in entertainment systems everywhere. It remains to see if this will happen, however.
