Washingtonpost.com has just announced that they are now releasing its first ever native application created for the iPhone as well as iPod Touch called the City Guide. This application would allow the users, especially the road warriors, to have an on-the-go information about the entertainment areas, bars, clubs, restaurants all over Washington D.C.

The City Guide application works with the help of the GPS feature so that it can find all the locations of the establishments that are near the area where the user accesses the application. It has a user-friendly design which lets the users easily navigate the City Guide.

To narrow the search, they can simply put keywords like name, cuisine, neighbourhood and more. The results would then give you the addresses of restaurants, the phone numbers if you wish to have your food delivered, their operating hours, directions going to the establishment, their price range, and the list goes on.

The top restaurants as well as the reviews were given by the noted food critic Tom Sietsema from Popular Washington Post. There is no need to hire for a tour guide since the City Guide will also tell you which places in Washington D.C. you must visit.
