Because of the SDK released by Apple Inc. earlier this year, developers were able to create applications for the 3G iPhone. As a result, there are already hundreds of applications waiting to be purchased once the App Store is already up. Others are just offering their applications for free. These applications would allow their 3G iPhones be more functional as well as personalized.

Out of all the 500+ applications waiting to be downloaded through iTunes, there are at least 20 applications for the iPhone which are considered the best. Here is the list of the 20 applications. Some are free while others require payment
Free applications include
1. Rotary Dialer
2. Twitterific
3. Lonely Planet Mandarin Phrasebook
4. Remote
5. BA Flights
6. PhoneSaber
7. UrbanSpoon
8. Where?
9. Exposure
10. TypePad
11. Currency
12. WeatherBug
13. Facebook
On the other hand, there are also some excellent applications that require payment. This includes the following:
1. Starmap Planetarium (£6.99)
2. Etch-a-Sketch (£2.99)
3. Meal Splitter (£4.99)
4. Vicinity (£1.79)
5. Band (£5.99)
6. Stage Hand (£4.99)
7. Super Monkey Ball (£5.99)
But as a user, your choice is not limited within the said applications. Some might be great for others but it would not work for you. Browse the App Store and look for reviews before downloading any application for your iPhone.
