Widgetbox is a community for widget makers developing all types of tasks. Widgetbox announced last Friday that its widget gallery is now available for Apple’s popular device, iPhone. All widgets for the iPhone can be viewed on the Widgetbox website, which can be directly viewed from the iPhone browser.

Widgetbox Chief Executive Officer Will Price said, “Widgets represent a largely untapped opportunity for businesses that need to reach their constituencies in new ways. By hosting

a new widget gallery customized for the iPhone, Widgetbox and its widget-making community is now able to increase its reach and customization for messages targeted at specific audiences.”

The widgets currently available include the Fake Steve Jobs blog, the Magic 8-ball, Yahoo! News RSS and viewing the ten most popular Flickr images. Over 32,000 developers participate in Widgetbox’s community. With the introduction of iPhone widgets, both iPhone and iPod Touch users can also use this site.
