Will the 3G iPhone support the HSPA Evolution?
The rumors about the upcoming Apple’s 3G iPhone are coming fast but probably not as fast as the device. The 3G iPhone will be faster than you think. This will be the case especially on the networks overseas where the 7.2mpbs HSDPA is very common. However, the consumers of the AT&T in USA do not have an HSDPA that is faster than the 3.6mbps. They are still trying to work something out so that they too can have an HSDPA that has 7.2mbps.

The HSPA Evolution is also known as the HSPA Evolved or the HSPA+. This HSPA Evolved would help in increasing the speeds. As of the moment, there are no devices that are currently out in the market that supports HSPA+. But people are expecting that a new one will come out in the next couple of days. And if the rumors are true, it will be the latest 3G iPhone who would be the first to support HSPA+.
On the other hand, Telstra also mentioned that they will be having the fastest iPhone in the whole world. As of now, the HSDPA in Australia has already reached 14.4mbps. The company is planning to upgrade their network in the latter months of 2008 so that they can now have an HSPA+. Moreover, according to Telstra, they have already seen the latest device from Apple and they will also have it in their network as well by the time it has been officially launched in United States. By Christmas, they expect that the new device will be running on 42mbps, making it the fastest iPhone in the whole world.
