Before the WWDC ends, Apple hosted its yearly design awards dedicated to give credit to the developers whom they considered above the rest. However, this year’s design award is quite different. This is the first time that the Apple Inc. offered compliments and awards to the developers of the native applications for the iPhone.

One of the winners is the AOL Radio. They won the category of Best Entertainment Application. After a few hours, AOL had a press release which announced their win.

Enigmo, created by Pangea Software Inc. won the category of Best iPhone Game. On the other hand, the Best iPhone Social Networking App category was taken by the application called Twitterrific from the

The Icon Factory.

Omnifocus from the Omni Group won the Best iPhone Productivity App. And of course, the MIM coming from the MIMVista took the seat of Best iPhone Healthcare and Fitness App category.

Of course, one iPhone application stands above the rest. The Best iPhone Web Application was awarded to Remember the Milk. This is an application that allows the user to remember the tasks that they have to do for the day.

It was not Steve Jobs who chose the winners of the said award. There were fifty employees working for Apple Inc. who evaluated the applications and judged it according to sharing and integration, technology adoption, platform innovation, performance optimization, user experience, and automization.
